Any carpenter should be able to tackle this. I'm an electrician and I installed a custom shower pan in my shower. The shower is 4 foot by 6 foot by 7 foot high. The pan is poly of a heavy gauge with a shower pan three part drain.
The pan is made up of 1 inch OSB with two layers of dry mortar with 3/8" screening in between sloped towards the drain. Quick set mortar and tiles make up the remainder of the floor. Gray grout is the finish.
The poly is flexible enough to move with the temperature inside and as everybody knows a shower pan floor never really dries out. It's always wet to some degree.
