As I said, if the ignitor cycles on and off, there's a very good chance that the solenoid coils on the gas valve are defective and need to be replaced, if the venting is definitely not the problem.

The gas valve's solenoid coils a famous for working Ok but opening up once in use. They
may even be able to be tested at time of failure as JCA1 stated he was able to do in the previous forum message at the following link:
