the door lowering and uprising motor relies on a current relay. if the current relay detects a rise in current it will reverse and send the door open. if it's in the downward motion and the current rises it will reverse gain - open. finding the medium point is trial and error. with the high heat you will also find the chain has expanded a bit varying the trip points of the upper and lower limit switches with relationship to the door position. also the electric eye brackets may have moved a bit out of line of sight.
