I am considering changing my hot water heater from the tank type to the on demand tankless systems. I currently have a 60 gal gas tank, we are a family of four. We do currently run out of hot water at times, not extremely often but enough times to be annoyed. The tank is 15 years old and when it goes I wanted to have all the info I need ahead of time. I know the initial cost of a tankless system is greater than just putting in a replacement tank. Can you guys who have installed and those who have thought about it, give me some prices, tips, places where I should go to make this purchase etc?
