Hi--
We did take the face plate off and look at it last night. Seems to be dry. I know nothing about outlets, but I did notice what I assume is the ground wire is kind of touching the side of the outlet box all the way up to where it is connected. That wire is just bare copper. I thought maybe if that were to vibrate for some reason, it could make a noise vibrating against the metal box? Why would a ground wire vibrate?
