I would say NO. Only because if you feel the screen, it almost feels [organic] soft to the touch because of the electrostatic chemical inside it. any chemical used to try to fix it would probably do worse! acetone is used for solvent welding of pvc and I don't know how it would react to an lcd screen.-- don't try it!
