I don't see any good in using peat moss other than enriching the soil or breaking up hard soils into a workable mixture. my dad always used to put peat moss on our lawn every spring - I don't know why - I only see it as a ground cover in flowering beds. Bark mulch does the same thing but you wouldn't use this on your lawn.
