pilot light woes
I have a gas fireplace that came with my house. It has no documentation as to who made it. It had been disconnected by previous owners. It has a robertshaw millivolt gas valve (7000 MVRB 4 LC / 770 826 493). It probably has not been used in several years. After installing a thermostat I was able to get the fireplace running. i shut it down to await colder weather and now i cannot get the pilot to stay lit. Pilot lights with ignitor but after releasing button (valve) pilot goes out , no matter how long you hold button. Is valve faulty or maybe a cleaning is in order? any help would be appriecated.
