It should not heat
at all on "air fluff". Maybe the heater element (see the following link) is broken and shorted to ground or there maybe is a problem with the heat selector switch?

I don't see any kind of "
dampness sensor" used on your model dryer. Maybe you're just referring to an "auto" or "permanent press" setting?? You can read about the difference at the following link:

I would suggest someone look into why your dryer is heating on air fluff when it shouldn't be first and then worry about the rest. Some causes of that could be a potential fire hazard!
Don't put it off!!
