Thanks A.D.... I do have a Fluke 77 and another Fluke ampmeter.I took the new Hunter off and put the old Day and Night mercury thermostat back on and the system works as it did before. I'm not sure if i mentioned that the original thermostat works fine, I just wanted to change it to a digital for better accuracy. I will have to change it all out again to see if the fan runs with the green disconnected. The green is connected to the old therm and works when automatic or by switch. It just didn't work with the Hunter thermostat. I am curious though, by what you mean by mentioning that I may need the multimeter soon. Is there something that I may be doing wrong that i need to know about??? The system, on the roof as many are here in Vegas, is a Day and Night...1986. Also , one more thing. The previously unattached blue wire that I connected to the c terminal on the roof (in order to have a common for the Hunter) is still connected on the roof, but carefully tucked away behind the thermostat in the wall devoid of any contact with anything. Any other hints? Could it be Hunter products?......thanx Billy g
