Badger 5 garbage disposal mounting ring broke off
I had a coin stuck in my Badger 5 disposal. Tried everything to get it out. I used the wrench and turned it hard enough that the disposal detached from the sink. The lower mounting ring is detached from the disposal unit. Is there some way to reattach the mounting ring, or do I need to replace the entire unit?
The ring is larger than the unit and doesn't snap back on.
Help!!

Is there a round metal snap ring on it? I seem to recall that when the unit goes together the rubber seal goes on top of the unit and the fastening ring next followed by a 4 inch snap ring. the rest of it is fastened to the sink drain - four lugs that mate up with the tightening ring on the unit.

Thank you for your help. I went to Home Depot and actually looked at a unit. I replaced the rubber seal. Probably didn't have to. I removed the old rubber seal from the sink. I put the rubber seal onto the unit and then the metal ring. The hardest part was lining the two metal rings up, but I finally got it together.
I have learned a valuable lesson.... don't keep coins near your sink.
