Wahsing machine won´t drain water

Hi everyone!

I know that this is an often discussed subject and trust me, I have looked all over the internet for a solution, but I can´t fix my washing machine. [B)]

Here is the problem: It will only slowly drain/pump out the water after a washing cycle. The pump has been replaced recently and is working normally, so a blocked hose/pipe seems to be the logical explanation.

*) I have completely removed the pump with all attached hoses and pipes and checked all for any blockages. --> No result.
*) I have washed out the drum, so there is nothing blocking the draining hole which connects the hose that feeds the pump. --> No result
*) I have used a mild anti blocking agent to remove any possible build up of hair/washing powder. --> No result

This problem first appeared after moving the machine to a new house. It was working fine before.

Sometimes, when the water level inside the machine is low, the pump manages to pump out the water in a normal way, but normally there is only a trickle of water coming out of the draining hose.

Does anyone have any clues? What have I missed? [?]

Oh yeah, the washing machine is a Bosch WFK 2431 and is only 3 years old.

You stated that both the pump and hoses have been removed and replaced.

Check the positioning of the drain hose when the machine is in its normal operating position to make sure it is not being kinked somewhere.

Are you certain the replacement pump was the correct one for your machine?

Check the pump pulley. (Did the new pump have a different size pulley that would effect pump RPM?)

Check the pump drive belt for proper tension.

Is the drive motor turning at the correct RPM during the spin/pump cycle?

check all the hose clamps. Is the hose firmly on the port and the clamp in the proper place or is a clamp perhaps off the end of a port and restricting a hose?

Chcck to make sure the drain and recirculation hoses are not reversed on the pump ports.

Most washing machines reverse the motor for wash or spin but some have a solenoid valve to switch from recirculate to drain function. If your machine has a solenoid valve, or a mechanical valve activated by the transmission, check to make sure the valve is opening properly.

When the machine was moved from on location to another was the drain hose replaced? If so, was the replacement hose the proper diameter? Some of the corrugated plastic hoses are a smaller diameter than the rubber hoses.

How high is the drain pipe where the hose discharges? Should not exceed 48 inches above the floor.

Is the drain pipe properly sized so there is an allowance for air to discharge? The new code says the drain should be a 2 inch line, although laundry lines were formerly 1 1/2 inches. (1 1/2 inches should be the minimum for proper flow.)

I fixed the problem last night! I suspected something inside the hoses, so in an act of last resort (I was getting quite desperate!) I removed the sieve which is incorporated in the hose leading to the drain. I then let the machine do one cycle and then, whatever was in there, was flushed out.
