Amana Glass Cooktop

I have an Amana Cooktop. Sometime I use the big burner and turn it off, I can come back a few hours later and it is still kind of hot. I can play with the knob for that burn and it will final go off.

Is the switch only thing that can cause this kind of prolbem or could a relay do this also?

Thanks

Most likely that switch is defective and not turning off fully. Seems the switch is only going to the very low heat setting and not truning off all the way. Turn off the electric to the cooktop, remove the switch and replace it with a new one.

Good Luck.
