Replacing lid switch- Kenmore Advantage Washer

Hello,

How easy is it going to be to replace this? Actually I may be able to just superglue the plastic where the screws attach- both sides where the screws go in are busted.

A tip on how to get the cover/top off would be a great start. Do I leave the lid hinges alone?

Thanks,

Dutch

Sorry about the double post- it was saying there was an error but I guess it went thru after all.
