readjust refrigerator doors

My refrigerator door is askew, i.e., sloping down from the hinge side to the other side. How do I straighten it out Thanks.

It may be just loose screws in one of the hinges. Open the door, and see if there is any movement at the hinges. If so, tighten the screws.

It could be the hinge screws became loose and allowed the hinge to move as SSN596 said. In that case loosening the screws, adjusting the hinge placement and then tightening the screws again may be all that is needed.

Other possibilities may be that the hinge or its pin could be bent, the hole in the door panel the hinge pin goes through could be warn, there may be plastic shims or 'cams' between the hinge and the door panel which have worn or broken and fallen off or there may be a door closer mechanism which has broken.

If you post the refrigerator's brand and its exact model number, we can try to look up if your model even uses any of those parts. But in the end, someone will need to actually look at it in person to try to determine the cause in your case.
