kitchenaid dishwasher panel lights blinking help
I need help on fixing or troubleshooting on my kitchenaid dishwasher model # KUD10ITJWH0 The problem is that the cancel button light and the rinse only lights are blinking! I had a problem with this dw about 6 months ago, had a repairman come out, the problem then was, the only cycle it would do is cancel, which makes a sucking noise and then quits, I've not had that problem since, and now this is the new thing. I can't stand this any longer and would prefer to not pay a service man to come out again, he said last time there was a key dance to do with the buttons to make it reset everything, I have tried every key together and have come up with nothing, we have cut the breaker off to it, tried for just a moment, then for over an hour. And still no luck, only the blinking lights! ARGH! I really would like to hear anything anyone has to offer on this, if I can fix this, that would be great!!

In such a case replacing the control panel is usually necessary to correct the condition. ![]() LINK > KitchenAid KUDI01TJWH0 Control Panel, White JFYI Dan O. www.Appliance411.com The Appliance Information Site =D~~~~~~ Last edited by Dan O.; 08-05-2008 at 01:32 PM. Reason: HTML formatting |

It is not usually that difficult of a job to do but I couldn't say how to go about it on your model. Usually they are just held in place by screws, maybe a Torx® head type.

One other (and cheaper) thing to consider: it might be the ribbon flex cable that connects the "user interface" to the main control board. If that cable is shorted, it gives the same symptoms. I know this from personal experience. I replaced the user interface and main control boards, per instructions on several forums, and still had the same problems. I then took a look at the ribbon cable and found that it was loose around the connector and pieces of metal that had broken off were embedded inside the cable near the user interface end of the cable. I replaced it and everything suddenly worked! This was misdiagnosed by several service techs under warranty before I finally took a look at it. Check the cable!
