Frigidaire Ice Maker

We have two Frigidaire double door refrigerators Model FRS26ZGEW Serial 218400900 at the home we purchased two years ago. About six months ago the water line burst on one of them. We decide to replace it with a better water line. After making the repair the water come through the water dispenser but the ice maker does not work. Any suggestions?? We didn't repair that one right away because we still had plenty of ice from the second refrigerator. This week the second one started dispensing crushed ice instead of cubes and now has stopped producing any ice. So now we have two ice makers to repair.

try repairclinic.com for spare parts. I have a frigidaire that burst the water reservoir. I just replaced the reservoir with a coil of poly tubing.

Dan O. is an unknown quantity at this point
** Frigidaire refrigerator model FRS26ZGEW **

That model number looks incomplete, did you get it right off the appliance's model and serial number tag? That is the only reliable place the complete information will be found. You can find tips for locating the model number identification tag *on your appliances* at the following link:

- Model Number Tag Search
LINK > http://www.appliance411.com/parts/tagsearch.cgi

** Serial 218400900 **

That serial number doesn't look correct either. Frigidaire product serial numbers usually start with 2-letters. It looks more like a Frigidaire *part* number for something, maybe the manual you got the model number from?

** ice maker does not work. Any suggestions?? **

I'm afraid you'll have to post a more accurate description of *exactly* you mean by "does not work". It won't fill? it won't harvest? no power getting to it? etc.

JFYI
