If the motor is humming the reset is ok..the rotory cutter is jammed.
First, make sure the switch is turned off and it is a good practice to pull the power plug while servicing a disposal.
You should have a disposal wrench that came packed with the unit. Insert the wrench in the socket at the base of the shaft and manually turn the motot shaft until it frees the obstruction. You may not be able to turn the shaft, if not, use the wrench to rock the shaft forward and backward on the rotation to see if you can loosen the shaft.
Look down the throat of the disposal to see if you can see what is causing the jam. If you can see the problem use a pair of pliers to pull it out.
