That doesn't help a lot to identify the appliance in question I'm afraid. Of most help would be posting its brand name and complete model number off its identification tag.

If the sound only occurs when the motor is running (wash, spin, drain), maybe something is caught in the machine and rubbing when movement is taking place? Stray underwires from bras can do a lot of damage when they separate from a garment. Stuff can sometimes also get caught in the pump and result in strange sounds.
I would
strongly suggest you discontinue use until the cause of found so no additional damage will be done to the machine.
