disposal blockage

I accidentally got a bone (about 2 1/2 in. long) jammed in my garbage disposal. I've tried to pull it out with pliers but it's too deeply set in there for me to get a good grip on it to pull it out. Is there anyway to get it unstuck without having to pay lots of money and call a repair person?
Thanks!
Catherine

handyandy is an unknown quantity at this point
Can you access it from the bottom by removing some of the underneath piping? You might be able to remove the pea trap and get it from there?

Glad to have you here!
