Kenmore Dishwasher

I have a Kenmore dishwasher (model unsure of at this moment). Water will go into it then the sensing light comes on and stays on. You can push drain and the water will drain. Is there a sensor bad (I would presume) and what one could it be? There is a 2 wire thermistor on the bottom by the motor, could this be the one?
