Angry Pilot light clicking

I have a GE stove top model J GP320EV1WH. We had a little accident late last evening where we spilled quite a bit of water on the stove. We have cleaned up all the excess water but the pilot light is still clicking. It has no trouble lighting and persists even after we shut down the electricity to that area for 30 seconds to "reboot" it, so to speak. What can we do to make this aggravating clicking stop?

A gas range's "pilot" is an actual gas flame. If your range has an electronic ignitor system (for surface burners it is usually a spark system), there is no "pilot" used.

The spark electrodes continuing to spark could be caused by moisture getting into the spark switch(es) (one or more - see the link below) which are mounted on the burner gas valves. In such a case they may be able to be dried out (possibly using a hairdryer, etc.) but in some cases residue remains on their internal contacts and they may need to be replaced to totally eliminate the symptom.
