A gas range's "pilot" is an actual gas flame. If your range has an electronic ignitor system (for surface burners it is usually a spark system), there is no "pilot" used.
The spark
electrodes continuing to spark could be caused by moisture getting into the spark switch(es) (one or more - see the link below) which are mounted on the burner gas valves. In such a case they
may be able to be dried out (possibly using a hairdryer, etc.) but in some cases residue remains on their internal contacts and they may need to be replaced to totally eliminate the symptom.
