Question Automatic defrost function lasts only a month

My side by side refrigerator is GSS22WGPACC, I have posted a question about automatic defrost function at Feb. GE Freezer is only 38F, please help!
Thanks big help from Mr. Dan O. and Phelps.
After cleaned up the frost, the refrigerator works very good, but only can keep a month. About 30 days late the frost will build up again on all tubes in freezer. Now I defrost manually every month.
Can I fix the problem myself?

If you can determine the cause, possibly.

Uniformly across the whole evaporator (cooling) coil?

How about the tubes that go through the cabinet to the evaporator?

Those electronically controlled GE refrigerators can be difficult to diagnose at the best of times and replacement part expensive. You might want to consider calling in a GE *factory authorized* service depot to get to the bottom of the problem(s) with it?

Thank you, Mr. Don O.
Yes, About 30 days late the frost will build up across the whole evaporator (cooling) coil, but did not see frost on the tubes that go through the cabinet to the evaporator.

Has anyone checked the defrost heater for continuity to make sure it isn't open and unable to heat during the defrost cycle?

Thank you.
I checked the defrost heater with ohm meter. The read is zero. I think the defrost heater is broken. I ordered new one and installed it. Now it works fine. During the defrost cycle the freezer back wall is warming. I will keep watch it.
