GE side by side freezer motor noise

We have a GE Model # PSS26SGRB-SS, Serial # HG430561 that's about three years old and it has developed a howling noise from the freezer condenser fan motor. I have gone in as far as taking the ice maker out but I can't figure out how to get behind the panel in the back of the freezer to remove and replace the motor. Does anyone have any helpful hints?

The evaporator fan motor is inside the freezer by the evaporator (cooling) coil, a "condenser" fan motor would be outside the fridge by the compressor at the rear, bottom.

That panel should be removable. Are there no screws toward the top of bottom of it either going through toward the rear or through the edge of it into the side of the cabinet?

I have been told that some models have that panel held in with 2-way tape on the edges but that was *in addition to* screws. I don't know about on that exact model, GE doesn't provide very detailed exploded view parts diagrams. Things as small a screws are often not even illustrated. Sorry.
