Ancient Whirlpool Dryer

It's over 15 yrs old (need to get model #) and while the motor's fine, the heating element is shot. How easy is it to swap it out and find parts for a unit that old? Or should I just replace it...

Thanks!

Yes.

** How easy is it to swap it out **

Replacing an element is not usually very difficult on any age of Whirlpool dryer.

** find parts for a unit that old? **

15 years is not very old for a dryer but until we know the *exact* model number of the appliance, all anyone would be able to do is guess.

15 years is not that old. I used to have a microwave that we bought back in 1980 which makes it 26 years old. I fixed it when it breaks until my wife said to replace it since its just old. So, we did.

Surf around the appliance parts websites. Note your model number too. If you see an item that looks like it, same rating, size, etc., heck, just order it. I did that with the heating coils of our oven. Did not need the model number. I just bought one that looks like it. And it works.
