Question Ge Washer Leaking

My GE washing machine is leaking around the hot water hose at the machine and at the faucet. It is a new hose and the hot water faucet is not on. I have no idea what to try next.

Dan O. is an unknown quantity at this point
I don't see how the hose can leak with the tap turned OFF unless the tap itself is leaking.

For just leaking at the ends, are there rubber hose washers installed in the new hose??
