Maytag Gas Dryer with no heat

Maytag model PYG4500AWW

The dryer seems to be functioning fine but with no heat. I have checked for a few things like cleaning lint screen out and making sure that the vent is not clogged. Do you think it is the thermostat? I took the dryer apart and found the diagram online. Their is a safty thermostat as well. Just not sure what part to get??

I also notice that when i move the temperature control from air fluff to low heat I hear a click and thats it....stays cold....

Thanks

That could be a possibility if the burner ignitor and rest of the gas valve is not getting power at all when the dryer should be heating.

It could be a possibility as well. You can read about how dryer thermostats work at the following link:

The one(s) found to be defective through testing or determined to be the cause through deduction. Guessing isn't the way to choose.
