GE refrigerator ice machine not working

I have a GE side by side stainless steel fridge about a year and a few months old. Part number GSH 25JSRF SS.
The ice dispenser stopped working. The water dispenser works occassionally but the ice part doesn't work at all. It still makes ice but there is no motor part working when you push in the lever. Can anyone help me????

Has anyone checked to see if the ice dispenser motor is getting power when it should be running? Getting power but not running would likely point to a problem at the motor itself.

If it was NOT getting power, testing on the rest of its electrical circuit might be required to isolate the cause.

How do you check the power? There is no noise coming from the fridge when you push on the lever. But the water part still works?

Generally a volt meter is used but even a simple test light would likely work.
