Kenmore Clothes Washer

Model 110.2332200

This washer has a problem. It will fill the tub, agitate, and then nothing. When it gets to the drain cycle, it does not drain. It does make a sound like it is trying to turn on a valve or the pump. Any ideas?

Thanx

I done a check of the an appliance site. what it said is that the pump connects directly to the motor shaft. for removal the whole front cabinet must be removed. must be a double shafted motor. the other end goes through a coupling to the tub transmission and agitator. from the looks of it, the back panel is screwed to the front cabinet which is composed of one piece of metal bent at the corners. I would say flip it over and see if there are screws going up from the bottom into the panel(s) the top comes off by means of spring clips at the corners of the cabinet front. two screws in the back hold spring clips holding the top on the back cabinet. for help in locating parts please go to www dot repairclinic dot com. they list your washer number.

I'm afraid I can find no listing for such a model number. Can you double check it?

What does the timer do at that time? Stick right at that point or continue on as if it were working?

From where on the machine?

The most common Kenmore top-load washers no longer use belts (and haven't since ~1984). They are Whirlpool's 'direct dive' (beltless) washer design but once we get the machine's proper model number we can see for sure.

I'm afraid it didn't.

That site found listings for 110.23012100, 110.23012101, 110.23012102, 110.23014100, 110.23014101, 110.23014102, 110.23022100, 110.23022101, 110.23022102, 110.23024100, 110.23024101, 110.23024102, 110.23032100, 110.23032101, 110.23032102, 110.23034100, 110.23034101, 110.23034102, 110.23036100, 110.23036101, 110.23036102, 110.23652200, 110.23662200, 110.2371220, 110.23722200, 110.23812100, 110.23832100, 110.23902200, 110.23902201, 110.23904200, 110.23904201, 110.23912100, 110.23912101, 110.23912102, 110.23922200, 110.23922201, 110.23924200, 110.23924201, 110.23932200 and 110.23934200.

None of which is what the OP posted.

The site just displayed all parts found for all Whirlpool built washers since that is whom Kenmore models starting 110... are made by. Not necessarily parts those for that exact model. If that model number had been found, there would only be that model number listed in the left had column under Narrow Your Search > Model Number.

BTW. If you clicked the link that said, "Do you need additional help with your search? (View messages)", you would have read this:

Their latest site incarnation takes a little experience to understand fully. I suspect there will be some fine tuning needed yet.

I do not know what that is a reference to, maybe Sears' own parts web site? That should be the bible for Kenmore products over any other... at least for US Sears' products. If it happens to be a Canadian model, they will not likely find any on-line resources for it anywhere.

Kenmore model 110.23722200- doesn't drain/spin

I have the same problem- different washer. After filling and agitating, the washer does not go into the spin or drain mode(s). My wife thinks the timer stopped although the washer didn't complete the cycle. (Of course I can't swear to this at the moment.)

With my family size, you can imagine the size of this problem...

Any ideas?

Thanks!!

If the timer stopped right at that point in the cycle and never moved further by itself, a problem with the lid switch or its actuator is likely. A washer will not go into spin (where drain also takes place) unless it can detect the lid is closed, as a safety precaution.

You're the Man!!!

Don O.

Got home today.
Read your email.
Fired up the washer again from the point where it would operate- somewhere within the agitation cycle.
when it stopped I began to probe and wiggle the safety switch... voila!!

Thanks!

One happy homeowner....
