Roper oven bake/broil not working

My oven is not working. the gas burners do light and work without an issue but when the oven is turned to bake or broil, nothing happens. About a week ago, I was having issues with it not heating up quick enough. It did eventually heat up but it took almost 10 minutes to even kick on. There is a coil at the back of the broiler that would light up red and then the flame would kick on. Now that coil doesn't light at all. I have looked around and found that it might be the oven igniter is burnt out. I can't find any where that can help me with instructions to change it. Hopefully someone here can offer some advice. I would like to be able to change it myself and not have to hire someone.

Thanks

it is easy to change the hot surface igniter. remove the grills in the oven part and remove the oven floor. it probably slides backwards then lift up in the front and it should come out. in the center will be a metal plate with one or two nuts on it. remove these nut(s) and the metal plate will lift out. the hot surface igniter is in back near the burner tube and thermocouple. one or two screws hold it in place. pull off the two slide connectors connected to the igniter. take it to a dealer and get an exact replacement. re-install it the same way you took it out. plug in the terminals and try the oven without replacing the plate and bottom floor. when you are sure it works ok, replace the metal plate and oven floor and grills.
