Whirlpool Dishwasher

Hi
I have a Whirlpool Dishwasher(under the counter).I went on a vacation and shut the water off to the dishwasher, just in case of hose break. When I returned home the other day,I turned the water back on and tried to run the dishwasher. It would not spray any water or no water would come thru the cycle.Too much of a coincidence,by just shutting the water off,as the dishwasher was working fine before I left.Any suggestions would be appreciated
tks

Model number?

I'm afraid that is not enough information to identify the appliance in question. What is needed is its exact model number.

If no water is entering the machine, no it won't have anything to spray.

Just shutting off the water supply to the dishwasher should not usually cause any problems in a dishwasher. It has to be coincidence.

A start in trying to determine the cause will likely be to see if the dishwasher's water fill valve is getting power when it should be filling. You can read how the water valves on appliances function at the following link:

That model is a Canadian Whirlpool product.

At least I now know what machine design you're dealing with. Now some actual testing on the appliance will be required to try to isolate the possible cause.

You can see what the water fill valve on your model looks like at the following link. That is where testing will likely need to start.
