Busted disposal!

My disposal was jammed. I used an allen key to un-jam from the bottom of the unit. However, when I run it now, it goes for about a second (literally) then jams up again...until I play with the bottom again. If I do nothing, it just hums. The blades are turning freely inside. Does anyone know what this might be? I really appreciate any advice.

Maureen
