GE side-by-side door light...

Have a GE side by side, model GSS25JFMCWW. The light in the door over the water and ice ejector barely glows red. The only way to see it is to look up under the shielding. A new bulb does not fix. What could be a possible cause and might I be able to fix?

the bulb socket is fed with a "molex" plug and socket. check the wires crimped into the socket(s)
