Kenmore 800 Water Softner

Any idea how often a Kenmore 800 watersoftner set to a hardness of 13 with a household of 2 people need to regenerate? I have had this for about 2 months and it has never regenerated on it own - i have manually done it 3 times.

I don't know, but 2 months sure seems like a long time.
I have a different softner and we have three people in our house.
My softner regenerates every other day. I have a older one with a timer you set.
If I set it to regenerate any longer then every other day we end up with hard water the third day.
