Hube is an unknown quantity at this point
Check the heating element(coil) to see if it has broken. You will have to unplug it and remove the rear panel to look at this element. Also, check for any broken wires, etc. Let us know how you make out. Hube

It was actually in the front. I looked at the coil and wires and they look fine, except that they do not heat up.
I bought the dryer used just over two years ago and am wondering if it would be woth getting it fixed, the repairmen I spoke to said it would be 50 bucks just to look at it. (I only paid about 100 for it). Do you guys think I should have him come and look or just buy a new one??
Thanks

If you have a tester for Voltage and "Continuity", then check out if the element is getting 220 min volts to it. Also check out the thermostat (disc) and also check for power from the Timer switch to the Heat Element (Coil). If you don't feel comfortable doing this then get a Tech to check it out. If the dryers less than 10 years old it may be worth spending $ 100 or so on it. But in my opinion if its more than 10 years, put your money into a NEW one. Good luck either way..Hube
