Home theater setup

We recently added a large family room to our house, and made provisions for everything we could think of. In 7 places, we installed blue plastic boxes with 3/4" KO's and ran 3/4" ENT down into the crawlspace. And in one place, we installed to double boxes, each with 2 ENT's going down. We intented to eventually install a home theater setup, with the bulk of things sitting by those double boxes. One we'll use a P&S home theater speaker connection plate (5.1) and the other we'll use a 9-space modular plate for the other hookups. The plan is to have a bigscreen at one of the 4 places in the room where there's a box, and the speakers at the 4 corner boxes. But we have to connect the TV to the rest of the home theater setup. What type of cables can you run that would terminate into a modular-type plate?

Thanks,

~Jonathon Reinhart

Use standard shielded coax with a full copper braid, jacketed. Can also use this stuff for the audio. Solder directly into the connector.

even if we end up running component video (red, green, blue), would we have to run one coax for each one, or do they make like a 3-conductor cable for that purpose? Its probly like a 25 foot run.

Belden Cable and Carol cable make wire assemblies. They got a CAT-5E cable assembly for audio, video, cable and video in one neat jacket.
