Mounting a plasma TV
I'm about to put up a plasma tv above a fireplace. The house was built in 1948 so the fireplace must be brick and plaster. Any advice on how to install the mount properly and securely in plaster and brick?
Thanks!

How much space do you have behind the wall and the brickwork? Is there a bracket that the TV sets on? Easiest way for blind fastening is with 1/4 inch toggle bolts

Not sure how much space behind wall till brickwork. How would I find out? I bought a mounting kit but I am going to attempt to install it myself. Just wondering if there were any special things to do in a situation like mine.
Thanks
