No output
I have a Sony preamplifier that I can get sound from headphones but not from speakers. What could cause this? Model TA-EX50 
|

a preamp is used as an in-between between your input and power amp [that which drives your speakers] a preamp is not meant to drive speakers.

Thanks for quick response, I made an error it is an amplifier not preamp. I believe the headphone jack switch is the cause can I just remove from circuit?

yeah I don't see why not. phone jacks are the shorting type meaning when you push the plug in it, it makes up the spring clips, when you pull the plug out it re-connects the normal audio circuit to the speaker putput terminals.
