Win 95 is the first upgrade microsoft had after the last MSDOS 6.2 program. It isn't a 64 bit application as is win 98 and/or xp. to upgrade to win 98 you'll need two disks and be able to boot up off a cd. first is win 98 and win 98 se. you format c drive from a dos program then insert the win 98 disk. after its done you re-install win 98 se stuff.

go to your bios or cmos - I can't remember which is which. go to the part that has to do with boot up sequence and put the cdrom in the boot path.
