How to Remove Existing Waterproof

Hello I am currently having a problem in removing existing pebble asphalt waterproofing in the concrete roof deck. We do it manually and it takes a lot of time because the area to be remove is 30,000 square meters. The purpose of removing existing waterproofing is to rewaterproof with torch applied waterproofing membrane. What is the fastest and best way to do it? I hope to hear your suggestions. Thank you.

There is no easy way to remove this sticky gooey mess. Consider how the roof is made up. If its of typical construction, steel roof trusses, corrugated sheet steel panels, insulation board, 3/4 to 1 inch plywood, building paper, tar substrate, stones, more tar and a final coat of stone. You almost have to get down to the sheet steel to start revamping the roof.
