romex

Can I run romex(12/2 yellow) under my poer and beam house or do I need to put it in the gray pvc?

Ideally underground required type UF cable. This is meant for direct burial and is corrosion and sunlight resistant. Because romex is a cable assembly with an outer jacket it can't be installed in a long run in any kind of conduit. Short runs, <than four feet is ok for mechanical protection.
