Plugging dryer into range plug?

We are in the process of renovating our house. Right now we don't have a plug for the washer but we do have the 4 prong 40 amp range plug available (we don't have a kitchen yet). Is there any problem using that plug to run the dryer until we have the electrician come out and hook up our laundry room?

Get a pigtail that will fit the receptacle and wire it to the dryer. Then change out the two pole breaker with a thirty amp and you should be set to go!
