Baseboard Heater Thermostat repair ?

Hi all,

Well, here's my problem. I have CADET base board heaters throughout my house, all of which use a seperate thermostat. The problem is that on one of those themostats I cant turn off or adjust the output of the CADET heater. When I remove the cover from the thermostat I can see that the control knob moves freely and that it is making contact throughout its range of movement. The Model number of the cadet heater is X102 and the model number of the thermostat is M601 if that helps.

I imagine its just a matter of cleaning the contacts or something relatively simple but im not sure where to start. As of now I have to open the breaker to shut the heater off and then close it to turn the heater on

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Aaragon
