cold weather outage

there are three light switches along one south facing wall in our kitchen that will not switch on in cold weather, even temps as high as 60F. they work all summer ! the disposal switch which is right next to one of the light switches, works year round, and so do the outlets along that wall. ideas? thanks.

check the wiring into the switch I.E. quick wire terminals.

Just curious......what lights do these switches control? Some fluorescent lamps will not start in the cold. Could they be controlling lamps which are outdoors? Or lamps which have a ballast located maybe in a cold attic? Just a thought.

all of the lights are incandescents. one is backyard patio light, the others are kitchen, over the sink & over the countertop.

check the switches. if they are the quiet type they have a small mercury pellet inside that has to be mounted correctly not upside down. at the top of the yoke is printed TOP
