installing an electrical outlet

I am installing a microwave over my stove, there is electrical service there, as I am removing a stove hood/fan/light. question is, when I add the electrical outlet for the new microwave, how do I ground it? what do I connect the ground wire to from the plug ?

A microwave oven requires a seperate 20 amp circuit. More likely than not, the existing wiring to your hood/ fan/ light is only 15 amp and probably used for other things as well and should not be used for the microwave.
However if you don't have any other alternative, you connect the ground wire from the plug to the bare wire in the plug box..If the wiring is old and does not have a bare or green ground wire, don't even consider it. Run a new 20 amp circuit directly from the main panel to a new plug to be used only for the microwave.
