Paint ON Concrete

Hi:

My pad at the top of a concrete driveway has gray paint on it. The concrete under the paint is pitted. I would like to remove the paint and put down either a concrete topper or an expoxy coating over the concrete. My problem is getting the paint off. I have tried paint remover with little success. I have tried pressure washing but only with a 2000 PSI machine with very limited success.

Does anyone have any suggestions short of breaking up the pad and having new concrete put in ?

thanks

Thin set

Thin set might be used to fill the pits. If you use an epoxy finish though I would asume it would cover and adhere to any paint on the slab.

any kind of filler - thinset included will not bond to the concrete with out a bonding agent. I ran into a site once that uses acid washes to resurface a driveway. See wvguy. here's our paint moderator.
