Small ants...

Welcome to Spring, I guess. Our kitchen is invaded by small, black ants. This weekend we plan to move the stove and refrigerator and clean out the Winter's detritus from behind and around.

After that, will the usual ant traps and chemical barriers work to eliminate them?

Well, for the sake of posterity and anyone else who ever has this question: in our case, a good cleaning behind both large appliances + an application of "Home Defense" around the margins seems to have done the trick.
