Bay window installed wrong?

We had a bay window installed a few years ago and have had nothing but trouble. We live in an area that gets cold and lots of snow and the inside wood of the "seat" area is ruined because of moisture and frost. On the outside, the underneath side of the window is just plywood. Should this have been sealed up by the contractor somehow?

You should have a box built around the underside of the seat on the outside of the house and install some ridgid foam insulation in it to help keep the cold out and to provide a thermal break.
