hip roof
i am pitching a hip roof BUTthere is not a half span!! as the roof has been designed weird i have 2 made trusses on piers BUT they wont make a half span! so one side on the hip run is longer than the other so the plumb and
the degree cut are all wrong i.e when putting in the plumb cut line on the
hip then cutting to suit nothing lines up!! not the plumb cut or the degree
cut i am now nearly just guessing the dgree cut and the plumb cut followed all the rules as far as my roof book advises but still im stumped
anyone got an answer or suggestion!!!

go to this site - it has calculations for a right triangle which is what a hip roof is.
Right Triangle Angle And Side Calculator. 5/12 pitch is a 5ft center upright with a half span of 12 feet
