Installing storm door

I have purchased a new storm door only to discover that because my front door has a side panel window, the brick mold trim on one side of the door doesn't extend as far out as the other side. I have checked the Larson door web site and there is no mention of an accessory to complete this type of install. I am about 2" short on one side and wondering if all I need do is screw a 2X2 extension onto the short side to bring it out. Anyone have any other ideas about how to do this?

Lightbulb

You can actually purchase a door jamb extension kit. Costs about $20 and come in many sizes. Home Depot or Menards have them. Good Luck
